Fenwick W. English is Professor and Associate Dean of the College of Education at Florida Gulf Coast University in the U.S.. He is a former Superintendent of Schools in New York and a dean of a school of education and vice-chancellor of academic affairs in Fort Wayne, Indiana for Purdue University.
He is the former President of UCEA in 2006-07 and NCPEA 2011-2012. He is the author/co-author of over forty books, numerous book chapters and research papers. He has presented his research at AERA (American Education Research Association), the Australian Association of Research in Education (AARE)as well as the Queensland University of Technology, Monash University and the University of New South Wales in Australia.
He has been the editor of numerous handbooks and guides released by Sage and Springer. He was named a Living Legend of the field in 2013 by the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership.
